The PHHS Board is busy planning the Tri-annual Membership Meeting,to be held in the Old County Court House near the Mayflower Meeting House, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM A Joint meeting with the Cooke Family Society.

The PHHS Board is busy planning how PHHS will be involved in Plymouth activities during the 2020 anniversary of the Mayflower voyage. We will meet as always during the General Society of Mayflower Descendants congress. So far, we have determined we want to offer something for young people as many will be visiting and none of the other Family Societies has planned anything for kids. We will be in touch with more later about volunteering to help.

The Pilgrim Hopkins Heritage Society has been officially approved and is now listed on the Hereditary Society Community website. You can see it at www.hereditary.us. Or from the Hereditary Society home page go to ‘Society Lists’ then, ‘Complete’. Go to the alphabet section beginning with “P” and scroll down.

September Meeting 2021!

Greetings HOPKINS COUSINS,

The Pilgrim Hopkins Heritage Society is gathering in Plymouth this September!!!

Original plans to hold the meeting at the Mayflower Meeting House have been changed because of possible construction there (an elevator).

And to make our gathering even better, we are meeting with The Pilgrim Isaac Allerton Society who kindly offered to meet together.

The more, the merrier!

Our meeting/dinner will be Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Held in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

We are getting together at the Hotel 1620 in the Standish Room for our reception meeting at 6:00 PM.

Each Family Society will have their annual business meeting.

At 7:00 PM, we will have our dinner of Cornbread Stuffed Chicken, Cranberry Glaze, and Toasted Walnuts ($50.00 per person).

The very gifted speaker, David Furlow, will be sharing his presentation The Silent Past Speaks: Burial Hill Reveals the Buried Past.

David Furlow examines UMass Boston's recent (2018-2021) discoveries  at Burial Hill and discusses how recent archaeological excavations at Burial Hill, Cole's Hill, and other places are reshaping what we know about the Pilgrims.
